Fee Regulations

For Studierendenwerk Heidelberg, a fee is charged each semester to all enrolled students of the following higher education institutions in accordance with § 12 Para. 2 StWG:

  • Heidelberg University
  • Heidelberg University of Education
  • University of Jewish Studies Heidelberg
  • Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Heidelberg
  • Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences
  • Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Mosbach
  • Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Heilbronn
  • Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Center for Advanced Studies (DHBW CAS)
  • Schwetzingen Technical Institute & Graduate Court Registrars' College

The obligation to pay the fee also extends to students on leave of absence. If a student is enrolled at two of the above-mentioned higher education institutions, only one contribution, the higher one, has to be paid.

Students of Medical Informatics are exempt from this regulation. They pay the lower fee provided for Heilbronn University.

Provided that the exmatriculated exam candidates as well as the participants in the preparatory courses of the university for the acquisition of the university entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) make use of the social facilities of the Studierendenwerk, they are also subject to the obligation to pay the fee. Upon payment of the fee, this group of persons is entitled to use the social facilities of the Studierendenwerk. An entitlement card is issued as proof of entitlement.
