Heidelberger Kunstverein (HDKV)

Autorin: Aida Murtić

The blog-series for this semester is devoted to the organizations from Heidelberg, whose missions and projects inspire, move and shake communities.

“Der HDKV ist geschlossen. Der HDKV ist online!” (HDKV is closed. HDKV is online!)

That is the current situation with the Heidelberg Art Association (Heidelberger Kunstverein). Let’s hope that after the partial lockdown, the door of the HDKV will be open again this spring for all art lovers. Since 1869 when the organization was founded, it evolved into a successful platform for presentation and production of contemporary art. Heidelberger Kunstverein building is located in the centre of the old town and can be reached from the lovely courtyard at Hauptstraße 97.

HDKV currently presents an online exhibition on their web site. “Wir sind hier – We are here” exhibits works of seventeen artists working for the Heidelberger Kunstverein, but usually on producing shows of other guest artists at the HDKV. This time, the stage belongs to them. Do not miss it: https://hdkv.de/en/exhibitions/
