Libraries on Campus

Autorin: Shideh Almasian, INF 134

In the heat of summer when staying in the dorms becomes unbearable or when too much noise and distraction is around you, the library is the best place to go. Luckily we have two of them on campus.

First one: Im Neuenheimer Feld 368

Second one: Im Neuenheimer Feld 205 (Mathematikon)

In summer, the one in the Mathematikon offers a pleasant temperature and cooling system. The older library located in INF 368 has more classical design and is often less crowded in comparison to the Mathematikon library. Additionally, it offers rooms for reservation. You can use the rooms, which are equipped with projectors and blackboards for presentation preparations or group studies. For reservation, please visit: https://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/raumres/?building=Neuenheim.

On the other hand, Mathematikon library has a newer design and more comfortable chairs. Both libraries offer printing and scanning services (please use your student ID card). The prices are cheaper in comparison to normal printing shops.

The libraries have a „no food policy” but you are allowed to bring something to drink with yourself. Books can be requested online and borrowed. For more information please visit : https://www.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/zweigstelle/ausleihe.html.

In addition to books, laptops and iPads are available for use inside the libraries, where you can log in with your student ID and password. Don’t forget, your thesis will also end up in one of the shelves when you graduate.

Opening hours are as follows:

Mo-Fr 9:00-19:00 Uhr

Sa 9:00-13:00 Uhr
