In case of financial difficulties, you may be granted an interest-free guaranteed loan!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Are you about to graduate and want to concentrate on your exams instead of a part-time job? Are you in the middle of your studies and have no income for a limited period of time, for example due to a job change?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are temporarily short of money, our loan may be your salvation. In such cases, Studierendenwerk Heidelberg can grant an interest-free guarantor loan so that you can continue your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prerequisite for this is that you can be expected to complete your studies properly. In concrete terms, this means that you must provide proof of your previous academic achievements. It is also important that you can present a current certificate of enrollment and that a person with a reasonably high income can vouch for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The loan usually amounts to a maximum of six times the monthly BAf\u00f6G requirement rate. The money is paid out in one lump sum or in monthly installments, depending on your needs, and you must begin repayment no later than six months after the end of your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For first-year students on social benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Prospective students who are receiving specific social benefits prior to the start of their studies have the option to apply for a one-time scholarship equivalent to the amount of the semester fee. These social benefits include basic security benefits under SGB II, social assistance under SGB XII, the child supplement (Kinderzuschlag) pursuant to Section 6a BKGG, and benefits under the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act. This scholarship aims to make it easier for prospective students with limited financial means to begin their studies.

Applications must be received by Studierendenwerk Heidelberg no later than four weeks prior to enrollment at a higher education institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
